Representatives of the health care and the business world met in Rome to find concrete answers to the new social needs, in particular of those that are the most vulnerable . eResult also participated in the conference "Elder and technosupport, the National Health Service and industry" organized by the National Network of research on aging and longevity active, Italia Longeva, on the 17 October at the Ministry of Health.

eResult, during the afternoon session titled " Innovative technologies and smart homes for a better quality of life of the elderly: the companies and products " , with a presentation held by Gianfranco Borrelli, illustrated the solutions and advanced services offered by Omniacare, the integrated system for remote assistance with constant monitoring of health status , created by the company ICT for the social welfare sector .

Omniacare makes use of integrated technologies capable of providing advanced tools for both operators and patients. It is especially targeted to those who have decent ability or self-sufficiency , but that may require support in some difficult situations . When the system detects critical cases , alarms that allow operators to communicate directly with patients are automatically activated. A system to assist both patients and those who take care of them.

For the first time ever eResult attends the international conference EUGMS, European Union Geriatric Medicine Society, an event dedicated to experts in geriatric medicine, held this time at Lido di Venezia, October 2 to 4. The ninth edition of the congress EUGMS focuses on the macro-theme "Improving Outcomes of Geriatric Medicine" , with a specific focus on IT solutions capable of meeting the challenges of health and aging of population.

In particular, the intervention of eResult was scheduled for Friday, October 4th in the session "Advanced technology solutions for older people": Gianfranco Borrelli, engineer of eResult, was engaged in a shared presentation with Daniel Sancarlo from IRCSS, Fondazione Casa Sollievo della sofferenza, on " Assisted Domotic Solutions in Older People." It was an occasion to highlight the most innovative solutions in the field of home monitoring developed with the Omniacare platform.

The stand was also presenting two other projects for remote assistance: ALTRUISM, home rehabilitation system for patients suffering from mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease, and SWEET MOBILITY, guided services, assistance and health state monitoring for older people that want to travel .

The stand is sponsored by Solotipico, a company that selects and sells gourmet products made ​​in Italy.

eResult has been selected to attend the 5th European Innovation Summit organized by the European Parliament Platform K4I , knowledge for innovation , from 30 September to 2 October 2013.

The Italian ICT company has been selected by the Region of Puglia to represent Innovaal, the public-private aggregation for research and development of innovative solutions and services to support older people, in the field of Ambient Assisted Living.

There will be two engineers from eResult, Gianfranco Borrelli and Marco Pistoia, to take part in the sessions of the European Parliament dedicated to innovation and assistance on health. They will bring a concrete contribution, made of field experiences, to the debate about the future development of Horizon 2020, the European program that groups in a single project all the EU funding for research and innovation.

In detail, Gianfranco Borrelli will attend as a speaker to the debate "Towards world-class clusters : policy support and funding instruments at EU and regional level", organized in collaboration with the Region of Puglia for Tuesday, October 1 (at 19:30 to 22:30 ) .

Wednesday, October 2nd Marco Pistoia will be among the actors involved in the meeting on "European policies from 2014 to 2020 for research, innovation, clusters , internationalization" ( at 10 to 13 ) . The meeting is scheduled at the Brussels office of the Puglia Region , the only Italian region to participate in the 5th European Innovation Summit.

eResult attends the European Forum for Ambient Assisted Living, which takes place in Norrköping, Sweden (24-26 September). Promoted by the European Union with the participation of 22 countries (3 of them are non-EU countries), the AAL Forum is dedicated entirely to the development of technology and IT services to improve the quality of life of vulnerable subjects, such as the elderly. The most innovative solutions to give them a chance to live longer in their own homes and to enforce greater safety and independence of movement in open spaces.

At the Forum , eResult shows SWEET MOBILITY and ALTRUISM, the project developed with Omniacare, the integrated platform for remote assistance.

SWEET MOBILITY is designed fo people who would like to travel but, for the age and the physical condition, feel constrained and insecure. The project is based on an infrastructure that offers guide services and remote assistance with healt state monitoring for specialised supervision. 15 people will participate in the pilot phase of the " sweet tourism " project to be held in Tuscany.

The ALTRUISM project is focusing instead on people with mild forms of Alzheimer's: it consists of a monitoring system to allows them to do rehabilitative therapies with the support of a virtual personal trainer. The system allows both to freely perform the exercises at home, rather than in a hospital with a physical therapist, and to assess the progress of the therapy by remote.

During the session "Participation in the e-service society" , Gianfranco Borrelli (eResult engineer) presented the opinions of users of the HOST project - Smart technologies for self-service to seniors in social housing . A video interview with several voices , made at Don Baronio of Cesena, with the real actors of the project: the people who tested the services offered.

It speaks, plays, moves and helps children to learn how to read and write. It is called NAO, the little robot for children affected by the disorders of dyslexia. eResult presents a new tool to meet the needs of children in the learning process.

Today in Italy, 1 out of 25 children suffer from disorders related to dyslexia, with severe difficulties in reading and writing . Official estimates say an average of a student in each class.

NAO is an anthropomorphic interactive system with an integrated e-learning platform that eResult is implementing within the ROBIN project: thanks to a playful and stimulating environment, it will be able to guide and improve the effectiveness of the learning process at school. With a positive impact on the cognitive process and the relational growth of children.

The robotic system co-funded by the Region of Puglia was presented Thursday, September 19 at the Fiera del Levante in Bari , in the " Research and Innovation" space (Hall 152 of the Puglia region ). Designed by eResult , the ROBIN project is among the winners of the call Apulian ICT Living Labs.
